Responsibilities

  • Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems.
  • Ensures that systems are installed properly and on time in accordance with Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
  • Provides feedback and information to identify any potential barriers to timely execution of the project, such as construction delays or changes.
  • Provides accurate documentation for completed work.
  • Maintains assigned company-owned vehicles, tools, equipment, and individual tool issue.
  • Maintains and protects building keys to customer buildings.
  • Communicates with customers, customer representatives, contractors and Kastle staff as necessary to install and test equipment.
  • Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology as well as internal processes and procedures.
  • Holds hands‑on experience with hand and power tools.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and carry tools and equipment not to exceed seventy-five pounds.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Must be able to interface and communicate with customers and co‑workers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Candidate must be able to use MS Word, Excel, etc.
  • Must be able to follow the installation, testing, and troubleshooting procedures outlined by i2G.
  • Must be available to work overtime, weeknights, and/or weekends when necessary.
  • Continues to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Knowledge of analog and IP camera systems.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP and networking.
  • Knowledge of programming digital video recorders (DVRs).
