About the role
The Electronic Sales Trader will play a crucial role in Liquidnet's Low Touch & Algo Desk in the Americas, focusing on growing the fast-growing product segment by providing exceptional client services and driving revenue.
Responsibilities
- Meet trading revenue targets for the electronic desk and collaborate with other teams to support their growth.
- Cover equity algo order flow across US, primarily for single-stock equities and ETFs.
- Communicate trading strategies and perform real-time monitoring of algo orders, ensuring a top-tier customer service experience.
- Analyse pre-trade and post-trade reports, identifying and leveraging intraday opportunities to sell and reinforce products.
- Possess strong selling skills to convert new clients to the Liquidnet platform and cross-sell related products.
- Contribute to regional and global marketing and selling efforts, developing and executing account plans aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with the RM team to maximize wallet share, and partner with team members to develop and implement coverage backup plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues, contributing to the company's success through innovative thinking and problem-solving.
Essential Experience / Competences
- 3-7 years of sell-side experience as an Equity Trader or Sales Trader, with extensive expertise in electronic trading methods.
- A minimum of 1 year of Electronic Equity Experience.
- A strong track record of achieving business objectives and revenue goals through effective selling to institutional customers.
- Experience with quantitative trading strategies, pre-and post-trade analytics, including TCAS.
- A deep understanding of market structure and regulation, with the ability to anticipate and adapt to changes in the regulatory landscape.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve effectively.
- Ability to travel as required to support business needs.

- A multi-task oriented individual with a high capacity for qualitative and quantitative thinking, possessing comprehensive knowledge of US equity market function.
- Adept at collaborating with various business segments, product development teams, marketing, technology, compliance, and operations.
- Proficient in professional writing and presentation skills.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.

Benefits
$175,000 - $225,000 annual salary range, commensurate with experience.
