Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline‑appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
• Teach on one or more of the college’s campuses or off‑site locations, including evening and weekend programs; dual‑credit courses may be assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited institution in the discipline to be taught; teaching experience is desired.
• Security‑sensitive position – candidates will be subject to a criminal background check; dual‑credit assignments require additional fingerprinting with the Texas DPS.
• Physical demands: sedentary work with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds, occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching; work performed in an office environment.

Per Adjunct Faculty and Continuing Education Instructor rates.
