Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support engineering decisions based on radiation effects on overall system performance.
- Design and harden systems across multiple radiation effects, including dose rate, total ionizing dose (TID), neutron displacement damage (NDD), and single event effects (SEE).
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure radiation hardening is maintained across the product lifecycle.
- Aid in test plan development and review.
- Review reports.
- Participate in Radiation Review Boards.
- Help generate templates and guides.
- Assist in developing training materials and tools for new hires.
- Absorb in testing efforts, test station setup and validation and verification efforts.
- Collaborate on program requirements and provide feedback on approach to meet requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or other relevant field.
- 10+ years of Radiation Engineering, electronic component testing, or related experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
- Please note that US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.
- 10+ years of radiation engineering experience with the Department of Defense Active Secret or Top-Secret DoD security clearance.
Compensation Details
$120,000-$190,000 annually
