About the role
Perform complex assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies for aerospace and defense systems. This position requires adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations; candidates must be U.S. Persons (citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
Schedule
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow detailed visual aids, engineering drawings, and written instructions to assemble, modify, or rework units.
- Hand-load and solder PCB assemblies, including fine-pitch components, following IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards.
- Identify and repair soldering anomalies, working with both lead and lead-free solder under a microscope.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.
- Participate in offsite training to maintain industry certifications as required.
- Actively contribute ideas for process improvement and operational excellence.
- Travel to Hollister, CA for a month of paid training at the start of employment (expenses covered; schedule can be continuous or split).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- U.S. citizenship (required due to national security contracts).
- 3–5 years of J-STD soldering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Certification to IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify electronic component values.
- Working knowledge of ESD prevention and product handling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; self-starter who can plan, execute, and complete tasks independently.

Pay
Hourly salary range: $16.50 – $29.50.
