Essential Functions
- Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products
- Able to follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on quality
- Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts
- Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
- Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
- Uses Microsoft Office programs
- Maintains neat and clean work area
- Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
- Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state of the art environment
- Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
- Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift
- Able to transport up to 30 lbs
Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Electrical background at the component level
- Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the L3Harris E3 continuous improvement process
- J-STD-001, IPC-610
- Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include Soldering
