Summary
Responsible for all electrical diagnosis and repair on given shift to include the maintenance, service, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidate will have experience in PLC programming using ladder logic and troubleshooting electrical/electronic circuits to the component level. Must have the ability to work self-guided and be able to prioritize jobs. Position requires good communication skills to adequately relay the state of equipment and estimated repair time to others.Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
- Individual must have experience in Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Square D PLC logic programming.
- Individual must possess electrical circuit troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in an industrial environment as well as the ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, sketches and schematics.
- Must be familiar with related test equipment and three phase 480V circuits.
- Troubleshoot/repair PLC circuits
- Write A/B PLC logic program
- Troubleshooting/program/specify motor drives
- Must be a dedicated, hard-working self-starter.
- Responsibilities documentation in Plant designated CMMS program (FIXX)
- Experience in the repair, installation and troubleshooting of commercial industry machinery, plumbing, and/or physical building structure is desired.
- Must be able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and any other PPE that is required in the performance of the responsibilities of the position.
- Work safely and maintain a safe, clean work environment, and perform available work as required by the supervisor.
- Perform all Manufacturing plant electrical and electrical diagnostics repair and installation, consistent with plant electricians
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed and to take on additional assignments as requested by management.
- Maintain 5S standards.
- Provide own basic hand tools
- Flexibility for Emergency call issues after hours should they arise
- Perform all duties as assigned.
Educational, Experience and Qualifications
- Formal technical training in electronics with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the craft.
- Associates degree in electronic field or Journeyman’s card preferred.
- Position requires a valid driver’s license.
