About the role

The Electromechanic Craftsperson II is responsible for performing operational maintenance on equipment and maintenance-related equipment associated with plant operations. They also lead, assist, train, and perform the duties of lower-level Maintenance Persons.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, conveyor systems, production machines, and other production/support equipment.
  • Fabricates, installs, wires, welds, aligns, cuts, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces items, materials or equipment.
  • Diagnostics, troubleshoots, and corrects problems with equipment, controls, and utility systems.
  • Operates and maintains any tools, equipment, and facilities, tests assembled equipment for circuit continuity, resistance, and operational reliability, may use test instruments such as a multi meter, megohmmeter, oscilloscope, and an amp probe.
  • Uses precision measuring equipment, such as micrometers.
  • Prepares work sites prior to performance of maintenance (including, but not limited to, degreasing, clean-up, erecting scaffolds, etc.).
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of any work areas or equipment problems or hazards.
  • Responds to production service calls.
  • Cooperates with production and other maintenance personnel to ensure completion of maintenance with minimal equipment downtime and/or interruption of production operations.
  • Operates material handling equipment (including, but not limited to, hand trucks, motorized vehicles, forklift, etc.).
  • Completes daily vehicle inspection forms.
  • Completes records and reports (including, but not limited to, records of completed work, materials lists, manuals, worksheets, PM records, tags, inspection cards, downtime, store requisitions, data plotting, audit sheets, etc.).
  • Collects, analyzes, and plots equipment and process data. Operates and adjusts equipment based on data/charts specifications.
  • Inventories parts and equipment as assigned by supervisor. Requisitions and procures items from storeroom or other designated areas.
  • Learns, assists, trains, and performs the duties of the lower level maintenance craft apprentices under the direction and authority of the supervisor.
  • Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
  • Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

Must pass assessment for EMCQ Requirements. Associate degree or Certification in Trades, Electromechanical, Maintenance Degree (OR) 3-4 yrs of relevant Maintenance experience.

Qualifications

Special Qualifications Must pass assessment for EMCQ Requirements.

Skills

Must have skills in instrumentation, machinist, or HVAC specialization based on company needs.
