Electromechanical Field Service Technician-Floater [FST - Houston, TX]

About the role

Field Service Maintenance Technicians (Floater) are mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy a flexible schedule, independent work, and a fast‑paced environment. In this role you will service and maintain a variety of paint shakers, tinters, mobility carts, checkout stands, mobile storage systems, cutters, and other light industrial equipment for big‑box retailers. You will perform preventative maintenance and reactive service repairs on paint and electromechanical equipment, traveling within a 3‑hour radius of your service market up to two weeks per month and staying overnight on average for at least 2½ weeks per month.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures on equipment and provide effective solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair machines.
• Respond to on‑site preventative maintenance service calls within contract time frames.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with electromechanical equipment
• Ability to read schematics
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
