Role Expectations
- One-line diagrams aligned with system study requirements
- General arrangement and layout drawings
- Substation civil engineering knowledge
- Major equipment bid specifications
- Detailed estimate and probability modeling
- Structure calculations
- Insulation, A/C interference, static wire, grounding studies
- Work with switchgear, breakers, transformers, and motor-operated disconnects
- Understand how mechanical linkages, springs, motors, and actuators interact with electrical controls
- Support breaker maintenance, mechanism troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades
- Assist with specifying electromechanical relays (older tech) or understanding how modern digital relays interface with mechanical equipment
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Six (6) years or more of Power System Engineering Experience
- Knowledge of distribution design required
- Completion of Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred
- Professional Engineer license is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and data processing skills
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
- Must be able to report to the office (Tuesday-Thursday)
Pay Range
$88,000- $95,000/annually
