Electromechanical Design Specialist

Bath Fitter is looking for an Electromechanical Design Specialist to support our manufacturing operations at our TN Plant. This isn't a desk-only engineering role—and it's more than traditional maintenance. You'll combine electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, CAD design, fabrication, automation, equipment improvement, and engineering project support to keep manufacturing running safely, efficiently, and reliably. What You'll Do Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsWork with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and industrial controlsTroubleshoot and work with 260V and 480V electrical systemsCreate and modify CAD drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawingsRead and interpret blueprints and technical documentationDesign, modify, lay out, and fabricate equipment components and fixturesPerform MIG and stick welding as neededAnalyzing equipment failures and performing root-cause analysisIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, productivity, and manufacturing efficiencySupport Lean and continuous improvement initiativesAssist with automation and controls projectsSupport installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of equipmentDevelop maintenance procedures and technical standardsProvide technical guidance to maintenance techniciansSupport machine safety and risk-assessment activitiesCollaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Production to solve problems and improve processes What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys figuring things out, building solutions, and improving how equipment works. Associate degree preferred, but not required2+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combinationStrong electromechanical troubleshooting experienceExperience with manufacturing equipment and systemsProficiency with CAD softwareAbility to create and understand electrical schematics and technical drawingsExperience with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and industrial controlsKnowledge of 260V and 480V circuitsAbility to read and understand blueprintsHands-on fabrication and equipment modification experience2+ years of MIG and stick welding experienceStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision Preferred: Lean manufacturing, industrial automation, technical certification/apprenticeship, military technical training, or project management experience.
