Electro-Mechanical Technician

STS Technical Services is hiring Electro-Mechanical Technicians in Indianapolis, Indiana to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated, robotic, and electromechanical equipment. This role combines electrical and mechanical expertise to support high-efficiency manufacturing operations and ensure minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and specificationsInstall, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipmentPerform preventative maintenance and basic calibration on facility equipmentTroubleshoot electronic instrumentation including thermocouples, tachometers, temperature controllers, and pressure transducersRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns to support production demandsOperate shop and material handling equipment safely, including forkliftsFollow safety protocols and participate in inspections and risk assessmentsCommunicate effectively with team members and other departments Qualifications 2+ years of industrial experience in an electrical/mechanical environment (trade program completion or Associate’s Degree preferred)Basic understanding of PLCs, HMI systems, and motor drivesProficient in using multimeters and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and use hands/arms regularlyExposure to mechanical parts, temperature extremes, moderate noise, and occasional outdoor conditionsRotating shift schedule; flexibility required About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with some of the largest names in manufacturing, defense, and aerospace.
