About the role

The Electro-Mechanical Technician will maintain and repair all types of electrical/electronic equipment at the Wild Turkey Distillery facility. This includes, but is not limited to, equipment in the Granary, Distillery, Dry House, Fermenter Room, Mill Room, Boiler Room, Warehouse Department, and other physical plant buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Understand operational limits and safety aspects of equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic devices using various types of meters and computers.
  • Monitor, maintain, and perform PMs on the Gas Boiler, including water testing, capturing readings, and reporting nonconformities.
  • Maintain equipment in the Boiler house operation, including conveyors, pumps, valves, storage equipment, etc.
  • Start up, operate, and monitor Deaerator tank, feed water system, RO unit, and water softener.
  • Disassemble pumps, reassemble, adjust, set seals, and confirm proper operation.
  • Inspect lines for leaks and equipment for operational condition.
  • Complete and submit repair orders for maintenance work in the Megamation system.
  • Correlate equipment, lines, and devices with schematic diagrams.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and resolve quality risks.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP practices and site safety rules.
  • Adhere to and promote a safe working environment.
  • Conduct lock-out/tag-out procedures and communicate risks.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and detect failures.
  • Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement actions.
  • Participate in Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS).
  • Work in other functional areas to cover absences or relieve during peak periods.

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Rockwell DCS system, Device Net interface, and PLCs.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Industrial Maintenance Electrician Degree or Electrical License.

Qualifications

  • Possess high school diploma or GED.
  • Industrial Maintenance Electrician Degree or Electrical License.
  • Pass the NOCTI test.
