About the role

Alliance Laundry Systems is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician 2 for 1st Shift at our Ripon, WI facility. Responsibilities

  • Design minor electrical circuits and test/troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for control of machines and equipment
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
  • Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints
  • Apply knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs
  • Perform work of lower-class identifications and may direct work of others in lower classifications
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures
  • Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement
  • Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions
  • Do layouts, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services including panels, breakers, and conduit
  • Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments
  • Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader

Qualifications

  • Two-year Associate degree and 2-4 years' work experience required
  • Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS
  • Experience designing minor electrical circuits and testing/troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits for machine and equipment control
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
  • Experience installing electrical and electronic controls by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints
  • Knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions

Physical requirements

  • Standing for long periods, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending
  • Passing a pre-employment physical including baseline test of lifting minimum 50 pounds
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Pay & schedule

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Hourly Rate: $35.90 to $40.03, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 upon successful hiring
