About the role

Join Amcor as an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician and support operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and optimizing all facilities and manufacturing equipment including but not limited to: construction, painting, plumbing, welding, heating/cooling, automation and fire protection systems in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on electrical and control systems
  • Install, modify, and maintain motors, drives, PLCs, and related equipment
  • Support preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and operational standards
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities for equipment reliability and efficiency

Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical/electronics preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and maintenance systems
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work safely with high-voltage systems and equipment
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment

Pay

$30.90+/hour (based on experience) + $1.00/hour night shift premium

Schedule

NIGHTS Monday – Thursday, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work on and around machinery for extended periods
  • Use hands, arms, and tools for electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Perform tasks in a fast-paced production environment
