Electro Mechanical Assembler

About the role

A typical day in this position will consist of working with tools, wires, and possibly machines, to prepare wires, cables, terminals, etc. and to assemble these components on build boards for a final product to be shipped to the customer for install. Assemblers are classified as Level III, IV or V operators and responsibilities will vary based on the skill level of the individual.

Responsibilities

  • Level III (high-level) performing complex builds, troubleshooting, working with engineering, training others.
  • Level IV (mid-level) is setting up and running jobs, testing, picking materials, etc.
  • Level V understands documentation, uses basic hand tools and measuring equipment to perform assigned tasks while developing their skills to take on more complex tasks.
  • All operators adhere to quality procedures, keep the work area clean and perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Building harnesses at the boards requires standing for long periods of time
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a focus on long-term commitment.
  • A desire to contribute to our culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment which includes drug screen, physical, background check and authorization to work in the US.

Qualifications

  • Open to all experience levels, from those eager to learn to those with years of expertise.
  • Assembly/manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
