About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Soldering Technician with experience in precision, small-part assembly to join our team in Westwood, MA. This role involves assembling, repairing, and inspecting high-reliability components under a microscope, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and engineering specifications. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of advanced products in a clean, controlled production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform fine-pitch soldering and assembly of small mechanical and electronic components using microscopes and magnification tools, ensuring precise alignment and high-quality workmanship.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions to ensure accurate assembly and compliance with specifications.
- Inspect completed assemblies for defects, dimensional accuracy, and functionality using precision measurement tools and visual inspection techniques.
- Utilize specialized hand tools, fixtures, and equipment designed for small-part assembly and high-precision work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and cleanroom protocols.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, improve quality, and reduce waste.
Requirements
- Proven experience in precision soldering, micro-assembly, or electronics repair.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling delicate, small components.
- Ability to work effectively under a microscope or magnification tools for extended periods.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, defect-free work.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection processes.
- Requires a minimum of 2–4 years of related experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks.
- High level of visual acuity, including prolonged microscope use.
- Steady hands and fine motor control for precision work.

Pay
Base pay range: $20.44 – $34.76 per hour.
