Electrician - Yreka, CA

Position Summary

The Journeyman Electrician coordinates work with other Maintenance staff, Lead Electrician and Contractors. Works closely with production to continually improve safety and equipment productivity and performance. Accountable for the upkeep and proper functionality of all electrical equipment and systems in the assigned facility.

Major Tasks

• Work under the supervision of Lead Electrician and Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure the proper functionality of all electrical equipment in the facility.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Appropriate use and handling of electrical testing and repair equipment.
• Maintain electrical parts inventories records and place orders for spare parts and equipment.
• Retain and update electrical repair and maintenance log.
• Read electrical prints.
• Schedule routine checks for spotting any malfunctions, following all safety norms and standard operating procedures of working.
• Attend job training activities.
• Coincordinate work functions with co-workers and other organizational departments.

Experience and Skills

• Experience in reading, understanding and troubleshooting complex PLC programs.
• Good computer skills, PLC software, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to identify technical malfunctions in electrical systems and PLC's.
• Sound understanding of PLC systems as well as the ability to make alterations to the PLC program.
• Sound understanding of electrical repair tools and equipment.
• Able to effectively manage time and coordinate work functions with co-workers.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay rate: $39.36/hour plus applicable shift differential.
• $10,000 sign on bonus.
