About the Role

The Electrical Journeyman performs skilled electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and repair work for construction projects and facility systems. This role is responsible for completing electrical work safely and efficiently in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Builds raceways, pulls wire, and terminates electrical runs.
• Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems and equipment.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, electrical diagrams, and job orders to determine project scope, layout, and requirements.
• Gathers and prepares tools, materials, and equipment needed for scheduled assignments.
• Performs work in accordance with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and company safety requirements.
• Completes required daily paperwork and project documentation.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe worksite and performs general housekeeping upon completion of assignments.
• Performs other duties as required.

Skills & Abilities

• Intermediate knowledge of electrical controls and distribution wiring.
• Intermediate ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Intermediate ability to use the various tools required for the trade.
• Basic writing and reading skills.
• Basic mathematics skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Local certifications and licenses as required.
• 4 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required (20% - 40%).
• An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.

Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Pay

Pay Range: USD $26.61 – $42.58 per hour.

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, role, function, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
