This position involves leading and directing electrical maintenance personnel, performing various electrical tasks, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Leads teams and assigns daily tasks to electrical maintenance personnel.
- Performs electrical calculations and uses tools like power and hand tools, measuring and testing instruments.
- Installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots electrical systems, equipment, and appliances.
- Monitors and maintains the safe operation of electrical systems and related equipment.
- Assists in monitoring and training of Electricians, General Maintenance Workers, and Maintenance Trades Helpers.
- Ensures compliance with contract safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Virginia Journeyman Electrician license required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required installation access credentials and security clearances for Fort Rucker, or other assigned government installations.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Must possess an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry training card or have the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
Qualifications
- Master Electrician license preferred.
- Ability to develop, read, understand, and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of NEC and electrical/wiring principles, building codes, and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and track time.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work safely and understand all safety requirements and company policies.
Skills
- Develops, reads, understands, and interprets schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of NEC and electrical/wiring principles.
- Building codes, local, state, and federal regulations on electrical and fire life safety installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to manage workflow, material resources, changing priorities, multiple projects, deadlines, and accurately track time and assigned work.
- Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to build effective working relationships.
- Use of own tools may be required.
- Ability to work safely and understand all safety requirements and company policy.
