Electrician / Maintenance Lead - Fort Rucker

This position involves leading and directing electrical maintenance personnel, performing various electrical tasks, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Leads teams and assigns daily tasks to electrical maintenance personnel.
• Performs electrical calculations and uses tools like power and hand tools, measuring and testing instruments.
• Installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots electrical systems, equipment, and appliances.
• Monitors and maintains the safe operation of electrical systems and related equipment.
• Assists in monitoring and training of Electricians, General Maintenance Workers, and Maintenance Trades Helpers.
• Ensures compliance with contract safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Virginia Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required installation access credentials and security clearances for Fort Rucker, or other assigned government installations.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must possess an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry training card or have the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Master Electrician license preferred.
• Ability to develop, read, understand, and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical/wiring principles, building codes, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and track time.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work safely and understand all safety requirements and company policies.

Skills

• Develops, reads, understands, and interprets schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical/wiring principles.
• Building codes, local, state, and federal regulations on electrical and fire life safety installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to manage workflow, material resources, changing priorities, multiple projects, deadlines, and accurately track time and assigned work.
• Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.

• Use of own tools may be required.
