Electrician Lead

Essential Functions

• Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
• Uses a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replaces conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Preferred Education and Experience: Associate's Degree, Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
• Preferred Certifications: Typically requires an Electrician's license granted by state
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Electrical Wiring Installation, Install Electrical Services, Reading Blueprints/Diagrams, Safety Inspections, Troubleshooting Electrical Codes

Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
