About the role
MetroPower is seeking Electricians for the Nexus Circular Project in McDonough, GA. This industrial process project involves installing process lines and is expected to continue into 2027.
Pay
Pay ranges from $26 to $34 per hour, depending on experience. Per diem is $125 per day for non-local employees (those outside a 60-mile radius).
Schedule
Current schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour days). Potential schedule increase to 60-hour weeks (Monday–Saturday, day shift). Additional overtime may be required, including weekends and nights.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair electrical systems in construction applications and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Adhere to the National Electrical Code; read and interpret manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications.
- Use and maintain hand/power tools and electrical/electronic test equipment.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and use basic electronic technology for time/safety reporting.
- Uphold safety as the top priority, supporting the goal of zero accidents.
- Complete required safety training.
Requirements
- 3+ years of electrical installation experience preferred.
- Desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.
- Positive safety attitude, personal integrity, and ability to self-start.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school education or GED required.
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
- Past leadership experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Maintain a consistent workload involving moderate manual labor.
- Travel to various construction sites, exposed to outdoor elements, noise, and prolonged standing/walking.
- Safely operate equipment (ladders, lifts, hand/power tools, vehicles) for electrical installations.
