Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair all aspects of electrical power distribution systems with utilization voltages of 480V, 4,160V, and 13.8KV.
  • Troubleshoot and repair AC induction motors of all types, including single and three phases.
  • Utilize and become proficient with various electrical test equipment, including but not limited to: VOM, insulation resistance tester, micro-ohmmeter, and Motor Circuit Analyzer (MCE).
  • Develop a working knowledge of various PLC manufacturers and control systems to assist with troubleshooting and interlock testing.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with multi-discipline maintenance teams.
  • Follow plant safety procedures in all activities and maintain proper safety awareness.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits.
  • Perform work while wearing personnel protective equipment, including rain gear, chemical protective clothing, respirators, safety harnesses, fire-resistant coveralls, hard hats, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by supervisor.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and a rotating shift schedule when needed.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check as a condition of employment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, including reaching overhead, stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, and working at heights for extended periods.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. No per diem or relocation funding is provided.
