About the role
Electricians at Tata Consumer Products Ltd work to ensure the successful delivery of the company’s portfolio by troubleshooting, inspecting, testing, servicing, and repairing electrical systems on production equipment at the Landover, MD manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Install and connect new systems including wiring, conduit, fuses, circuit breakers, clock circuits, magnetic starters, and control systems.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and excellent housekeeping practices throughout the shift in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Repair and maintain Electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Navigate the production floor where temperatures may vary, handling tasks that involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and crouching.
- Push, lift, and pull various raw materials such as film, tin tie rolls, and valves weighing up to 60 lbs.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma/GED; Technical/Trade School graduate or apprenticeship program
- Knowledge and skill equivalent to two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing environment handling all levels of power voltage
- Knowledge and skill troubleshooting and repairing electrical controls with production systems, facilities, and equipment with a minimum of supervision
- Blueprint reading and technical instructions, parts identification, and procurement procedures
- Experience repairing and maintaining Electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Good communication skills. Strong team player and/or individual contributor with track record of success on high performance teams
- Knowledge of computers
Qualifications
Experience in an industrial environment handling all levels of power voltage is required. Must have knowledge and skill in troubleshooting and repairing electrical controls with production systems, facilities, and equipment with a minimum of supervision. Experience repairing and maintaining Electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment is essential.
