Electrician II Union - 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM) $42.78/hr. + $0.60/hr. Shift Differential

About the role

We are searching for an Electrician II to join our team in Wayne, MI on the 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am). This position reports to the Purchasing and Maintenance Manager and supports production operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears
• Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers’ installation manuals to complete assigned projects
• Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
• Ensure all work complies with the current National Electric Code
• Maintain production standards to meet internal and external customer demand
• Accurately complete all paperwork, transactions, tags, etc.
• Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols
• Ensure Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost metrics are met daily
• Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas
• Lead, assist, and/or instruct employees in the performance of their duties, as requested
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must hold Journeyman classification
• One year of manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic math and verbal skills
• Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery
• Ability to follow standard work processes and operate with a continuous improvement mindset
• Flexibility of shift scheduling, including overtime and weekends

Pay

Hourly wage rate: $42.78 plus shift premium. Placement in the range depends on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, and business needs. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
