About the role
The electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in commercial, industrial and healthcare facilities.Responsibilities
- Accurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre-fab assemblies, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC
- Directly work with other electricians and helpers as part of a team
- Install electrical distribution and automation equipment: switchgear, panels, transformers, PLC control cabinets and VFD’s
- Proficient with circuitry of the trade to include power, control, and motor terminations
- Bend conduit by hand and with benders
- Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment
Requirements
- Requires the ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges
- Accurately perform basic math calculations to include addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and the use of measurements
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and nonverbal)
- Requires self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management
- Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, but a technical degree or 1-3 years of experience or combination of education and/or experience is preferred

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb; lift and carry up to 60 lbs, crawl, kneel, push and reach
- Use hands to fingers, handle, and feel
Work Environment
- In performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration
- The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites
- The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud
- This position is performed in outside weather conditions
