Electrician - Facilities & Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary skills and demonstrate knowledge relating to the electrical field.
• Ensure the property is maintained to provide guest experience.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of commercial electrical systems preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have strong knowledge of testing equipment such as an ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter and testing lamp.
• Must be able to read blueprints and understand the operation of main switchgear, distribution systems and emergency transfer switches.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be safety conscious.
• Must be able to work as a team player to accomplish the goals of the Engineering Department.

Work Environment

• Faced-paced environment with excessive noise.
• May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
• On the Casino Floor, may be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
