Electrician / Electrical Installer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician / Electrical Installer to join our federal team based at Fort Stewart and the Hunter Army Airfield location near Savannah, GA (military experience encouraged, but not required) supporting long-term energy efficiency and sustainability projects, primarily related to HVAC, HVAC controls (DDC controls), BAS, metering, electrical and utilities systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of electrical systems utilizing codes, company procedures, schematics, and/or engineering drawings.
• Install raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements.
• Mount and terminate controls equipment as needed.
• Assist sales with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects.
• Check out wiring and terminations with test instruments as needed.
• Assist with paperwork, including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
• Provide feedback to engineering team on changes and keep as-built drawings current.
• Adhere to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or engineering drawings.
• Possesses working knowledge of local electrical codes.
• Experienced in scope determination of installation materials.
• Able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with electrical systems for HVAC equipment or control systems.
• Electrical apprenticeship.
• Possesses Journeyman or Master Electrician level licensure.

Benefits

• Eligible for benefits on first day of employment.
• 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks of paid time off in total).

Pay

$25.00 – $28.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience).

Schedule

Primarily first shift/day shift hours, Monday–Friday.
