Description
Trecora is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team in Lawrence, KS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), three-phase motors, and a wide range of manufacturing equipment in a chemical plant environment. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our electrical systems and production machinery.

Requirements
- Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair (110v, 220v, 480v) electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical components, including three-phase motors, control panels, and wiring systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Document all repairs, installations, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Complete other job responsibilities as assigned and all jobs in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
- 2 to 5 years as an Industrial Electrician in plant environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA Safety standards.
Skillset
- This Position:
- Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) programming and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in three-phase motor systems and industrial power distribution.
- Ability to work with various manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
- Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Successful completion of new employee orientation and all job specific training.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces and elevated areas.
- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
