About the role
Provides preventive maintenance and repair work throughout the hospital's electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of all hospital electrical systems to include, normal electrical distribution systems, critical power distribution systems, emergency power distribution systems, fire alarm systems, low voltage and high voltage control systems.
- Supervises general facility maintenance workers by allocating and coordinating workflow, training, and advising, in more complex electrical repair work throughout the hospital.
- Provides skilled preventive and corrective repair work throughout the hospital.
- Maintain established department and hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environment, infection and hazardous material control.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Must possess licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: WV: Journeyman Electrician License, OR Master Electrician through the West Virginia State Fire Marshall MD: Journeyman Electrician License, OR Master Electrician through the Maryland Department of Labor VA: Journeyman Electrician License, OR Master Electrician through the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience: Five (5) years of experience with electrical systems.

- Knowledge of parking/hospital department locations.

- Knowledge of CCMH Compliance Program/Code of Conduct/Confidentiality.
- Knowledge of CCMH Emergency Management Plan including the following codes:
- Knowledge of physical health/wellness information and Exposure Control Plan.
- Knowledge of Office/workplace safety.
- Knowledge of Risk Management/Occurrence Report Practices/Non-punitive Work Environment.
