About the role

Mansfield Electrician roles offer a dynamic environment within our Maintenance team. Responsibilities include repairing, installing, replacing, programming, and testing electrical circuits and equipment. Additionally, electricians are required to inspect electrical systems, troubleshoot and program PLCs, and work with vendors to identify and procure necessary parts.

Responsibilities

  • Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment or components to identify hazards, defects or repair
  • Work with vendors to identify needed parts and recommend to Supervisor
  • Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints and schematics
  • Program AC & DC variable speed drivers
  • Update power distribution system, MCC and switch gears
  • Install electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot 3 phase 480V circuits and control voltage circuits

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Detail-oriented and accuracy-focused
  • Understanding of AC and DC control circuits
  • Knowledge of 3 phase motor circuits, MCC’s, power distribution and lighting circuits
  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
  • Ability to perform essential functions including walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work nights, rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to work overtime and be on-call 24/7
  • 4-5 years of industrial/manufacturing electrician experience

Preferred Skills

  • Proven troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PID loops, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Allen Bradley family of PLC’s and Powerflex drives and corresponding software
  • Experience with scanning and optimization systems within the Lumber Business (Baxley, USNR)
  • Knowledge of process network communication systems and components—Ethernet & Fiber Optic
  • Basic network topography and infrastructure
