Electrician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical drawings
• Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards, defects, or needed repairs
• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
• Use hand and power tools to install and service electrical systems
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using testing equipment
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Collaborate with contractors and other construction professionals on projects

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred
• A valid electrician license or certification (as required by local regulations)
• Proven experience as an electrician (typically 2+ years)
• A strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and safety procedures
• A proven ability to read technical documents and schematics
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a variety of environments
• A valid driver’s license (if travel to job sites is required)

Preferred Qualifications
