About the role
This salaried position supports electrical infrastructure and production operations at the Siemens EA facility in the Raleigh/Knightdale, NC area. The role is a key technical contributor in a manufacturing startup environment and supports skid assembly and one-of-a-kind production operations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair facility and production electrical systems
- Lay out, install, alter, and repair electrical wiring, communication, and control systems
- Support troubleshooting circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, inverters, and automatic transfer switches
- Fabricate special-purpose units for electrical measurement, control, and communication systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance specifications
- Diagnose electrical issues and complete repairs per approved specifications
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment and systems
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Support process control instrumentation and develop standard operating procedures for production employees
- Maintain required technical, maintenance, and compliance records
- Follow and support Siemens safety rules, policies, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- Completion of a relevant Trade School program or a field-related AAS degree
- 3 to 5 years of industrial electrical experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Having hands-on experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- State Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Showing strong electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing setting
- Having working technical knowledge of:
- Electricity
- Process control instrumentation
- Writing standard work instructions
- Making manufacturing and process equipment
- Welding and fabrication
- Piping systems
- Being safety focused and detail oriented
- Working well in a startup or changing manufacturing environment
- Communicating clearly with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
