About the role
OLM Food Solutions is looking for an Electrician to support America’s food distribution system.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in buildings while ensuring work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues regarding production equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables. Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
- Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
- Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
- Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed. Replaces conduit and wiring as needed. Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
- Supports with facility maintenance issues beyond electrical duties.
- Has the correct knowledge of tools and their usage. Ability to disassemble and assemble equipment.
- Understands machine specific lockout/tagout procedures.
- Must have a general knowledge of Hazmat policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- Required Work Experience: 5-7 years of electrical maintenance experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Required Licenses and Certifications: Electrical Journeyman License (EE98J); a second related Journeyman's License; or Equivalent military experience or Completion of 60 Credit Hours Electrical.
Compensation
$28-35/hour depending on experience.
