Nucor Steel – Jackson is seeking an electrician who will promote safety as our #1 value while ensuring consistency and reliability in mill operations. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor. The electrician must promote safety for themselves and their teammates. This person must have the desire to learn and find solutions for safety, quality, and production processes. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and automation equipment
• Improving mill reliability

Requirements

• 5 years industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC software and hardware
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or greater in electrical technology or similar program
• ABB AC C DC Drive experience
• Function Block programming language experience
• Familiarity or prior training in NFPA70e Electrical Safety
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic controls experience
• Overhead Crane Maintenance experience
• Medium Voltage Switchgear experience
