NTE (North Tarrant Express), NTE 35W, and LBJ are major transportation infrastructure projects in Texas, led by Cintra. These projects have significantly improved mobility and reduced congestion in the Dallas-Fort Worth area:

• North Tarrant Express (NTE): The first design-build-finance-operate-maintain managed lanes project in Texas, reconstructing 13.3 miles of I-820/SH-183. Since opening in 2014, it has reduced congestion time by 70% and increased average speed by 15%.
• NTE 35W: Spans 16.8 miles from I-30 in Fort Worth to Eagle Parkway, improving mobility through additional general lanes, frontage roads, and tolled express lanes with variable pricing.
• LBJ Express (LBJ): One of the largest public-private partnership (P3) projects in the U.S., relieving severe congestion along I-635 and I-35E in north Dallas. Since 2015, it has reduced congestion time by 60% and increased average speed by 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site or in-house servicing, repair, and installation of equipment, including troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems, wiring, and upgrades.
• Install electrical components of transportation systems, such as:
  • Streetlights
  • Traffic signals
  • Intelligent transportation systems (ITS)
  • Inductive loop detectors
  • Electrical and data conductors
  • Conduit and pull boxes
• Plan and schedule installation of poles and foundations.
• Respond to corrective maintenance requests promptly and restore equipment to operational status quickly.
• Complete reports, logs, and shift-to-shift communications per established policies.
• Collaborate with the IT team on advanced and intermittent electrical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment and conduct field tests of units or components.
• Respond to after-hours calls and operate assigned automotive and construction equipment, including heavy equipment, bucket trucks, and snow/ice operations.
• Work at heights in various locations without issues.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation, make minor repairs or adjustments, and assist in major repairs, including minor welding.
• Perform miscellaneous skilled maintenance tasks, such as snow and ice control, traffic coordination, painting, and relamping.
• Available for emergency maintenance service on a 24-hour basis.
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• 2 to 4+ years of industrial electrical background.
• Texas Class A or B Current License is a plus.
• Proficiency in safely using Volt Meters, Ohm Meters, Meggers, and other testing equipment.
• Experience with voltages up to 480 volts.
• Strong knowledge of safely testing and troubleshooting energized control cabinets, machinery, and electromechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with materials in the industrial electrical trade.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The role involves:

• Frequent standing, sitting, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Occasional walking, climbing, or balancing.
• Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds; occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Required vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and moving traffic.
• Occasional exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and risk of electrical shock.
