About the role

Welcome to Steelscape, a leading west-coast manufacturer of coated and painted metal for construction. We are part of NS BlueScope Coated Products North America (CPNA), a joint venture between BlueScope and Nippon Steel. Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and reliability activities throughout all facilities.
• Plans and executes work for repairs, installations, and maintenance systems.
• Locates and repairs faulty parts and wiring on electrical equipment.
• Works in assigned areas and services equipment as needed.
• Obtains working knowledge of PLC and control equipment.
• Analyzes instrumentation drawings and systems diagrams.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. plus two years of technical school in electrical or electronic technology.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an electrical maintenance role.
• Experience with TPM or RCM maintenance.
• Experience with SAP maintenance module.
• Journeymen Electrician certification.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to interpret technical instructions and solve problems using principles of mechanics, electricity, and fluid dynamics.
• Ability to operate and understand various computer applications.
• Maintains knowledge of machine capacity and develops solutions for efficient utilization.
• Follows all company policies and adheres to safety rules.
• Provides maintenance repairs on as-needed basis during non-scheduled work hours.
• Works with plant supervisors to ensure site environmental compliance.

Working Conditions

• Regular exposure to disagreeable elements such as noise, dust, heat or cold.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to adjust focus and understand a variety of computer applications.

Pay

The estimated hourly rate of pay for this position is $42.36 - $52.38. Actual base rate of pay will be dependent on an individual's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is eligible for a targeted annual bonus, 401k Savings plan, healthcare (medical, dental, and vision), and other generous rewards.
