Electrician

Responsibilities

• Job Purpose: Maintain all electrical devices and machines within the plant and ensure proper running conditions including all safety devices to ensure proper working order.
• Utilize skills to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and improve all power distribution and manufacturing equipment.
• Follow all Morgan safety standards and guidelines.
• Follow all NFPA and National Electrical codes.
• Utilize all Arc Flash gear when called upon.

Qualifications

• Must have documented proof of experience in the industrial electrical field and/or a journeyman's card.
• The ability to work with other trades to accomplish a positive outcome.
• Must be a US Person as defined by 22CFR120.15.

Essential Functions

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand or kneel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to reach above head level when working on elevated equipment.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladder or stairs.
• Ability to push and pull equipment into proper placement.
• Ability to work in extreme or hot, cold environments.
• Evaluates opportunities to improve equipment and reduce downtime.
• Provide technical support for all electrical process equipment.
• Perform moderate to complex installation, troubleshoot and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and components such as motors, drives, relays, starters and other related electrical devices used for industrial equipment.
• Insure that no safety devices are bypassed or eliminated without proper authorization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but also with others in a team environment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM) on all equipment.
• Perform tasks as directed by plant supervisor.
