Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, test, and maintain wiring, fixtures, and other equipment.
  • Diagnose and fix faulty systems or components using proper tools.
  • Inspect electrical systems to spot hazards and defects, and ensure they are in compliance with codes.
  • Plan the layout and installation of wiring and equipment based on job requirements and local regulations.
  • Install grounding leads and connect power cables to equipment.
  • Run conduit inside concealed areas and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete the circuits between boxes.
  • Assemble parts and securely attach boxes to walls to fasten electrical switches or outlets.
  • Identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects.
  • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure accurate transfer of all service work-related business data.
  • Inspection of area for cleanliness after job completion respecting the customer’s property.
  • Keeps the company vehicle clean and organized, both inside and outside.
  • Participating in regular training sessions to stay up to date with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 3 yrs of experience (verifiable) as an electrician in a residential service and maintenance operation.
  • Understand electrical field concepts, procedures, and best practices, including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes, and Lighting Systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions.
  • Solid customer service skills.
