Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including power distribution panels, MCCs, transformers, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and lighting systems.
• Perform root-cause diagnostics using appropriate electrical test instruments and document findings per data integrity requirements.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems in accordance with CMMS work orders, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Install conduit, wiring, and terminations per NEC standards and site specifications.
• Support manufacturing and packaging operations by troubleshooting and repairing equipment electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Validation, and Maintenance teams during new equipment installations and capital projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, electrical change documentation, and safety compliance logs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited electrical trade school, vocational program, or apprenticeship strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical work; experience in pharmaceutical, food, or regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting schematics, single-line drawings, and control wiring diagrams.
• Skilled in diagnosing motors, starters, relays, control circuits, instrumentation, and low-voltage systems.
• Working knowledge of NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and electrical safety standards.
• Familiarity with PLC-based systems (Allen-Bradley preferred) and CMMS software.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred but not required.
