Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems to diagnose and fix faults or malfunctions
- Collaborate with facility management and engineering teams to support research and operational needs
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and organizational policies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of electrician apprenticeship or trade school required
- Valid electrician license or certification as per state/local agencies
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in commercial or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and local electrical codes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
