Electrician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems to diagnose and fix faults or malfunctions
• Collaborate with facility management and engineering teams to support research and operational needs
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and organizational policies
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of electrician apprenticeship or trade school required
• Valid electrician license or certification as per state/local agencies
• Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in commercial or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and local electrical codes
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and compliance standards
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
