Electrician

We are looking for an Electrician/Maintenance Technician with an electrical focus to join our talented Maintenance team. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all building and equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and associated electronic and instrumentation controls.
• Solve or troubleshoot mechanical problems (an asset).
• Operate and monitor multifunction process control machinery and equipment to control the processing of paper and other cellulose materials in pulp production.
• Install machinery and equipment according to electrical code and circuit drawings using hand and power tools.
• Perform all work with adherence to safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Install industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
• Adjust machinery to repair or replace defective parts.
• Connect electrical power to communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
• Startup, shutdown, setup, and adjust equipment as required.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Train or assist in training new workers.
• Maintain and complete records in our CMMS System.
• Proficiency or ability to learn electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Proficiency or ability to learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Proficiency or ability to learn to install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, fixtures, and other electrical components.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience.
• Proof of formal training in specialty areas (e.g., Pneumatics, Hydraulics, mechanical, PLCs, Instrumentation).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (required).
• Ability to commute to Rolla, MO 65401 (required).

Pay

$29.65–$37.06 per hour

Schedule

• 12-hour shift
• Night shift
• Rotating weekends
