About the role

The Georgia-Pacific’s Mill in Camas, WA is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to work in various areas of the facility. The starting wage is $48.75/hour to $53.44/hour based on experience, plus shift differentials and a $3,000 sign-on bonus after 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Equipment and process troubleshooting
• PLC and Drive Maintenance
• Control wiring installation and repair
• Assist crew members working in a team environment
• Support our safe working environment by adhering to safety rules and regulations and wearing appropriate PPE
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on all types of Industrial Equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Experience with Word, Excel, and window drive apps
• 4 years of electrical experience in an industrialized, manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Advanced technical degree/training in the Electrical & Instrumentation field
• Experience in the pulp and paper industry
• Proficiency in Industrial Motor Controls (PLC, motor controls, control valves, electrical distribution, industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, & temperature)
• Possession of a Washington Electrical License or a reciprocal license

Pay

This position includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus payable after 120 days.

Schedule

This position may work in any area of the facility and includes shifts such as Swing Shift and Graveyard (Overnight) Shift with corresponding shift differentials.
