Electrician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled, experienced electrician with 4-6 years of related experience to join the Facilities team. Experience with Variable Frequency Drives and solar photovoltaic systems is preferred. This position works in a variety of different settings and will require travel throughout the district.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace various electrical equipment
  • Serve as a lead tradesperson in a unique setting

Requirements

  • Skilled Trades & Technical Training; 4-6 years of related experience as a journeyman skill level Electrician; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Valid Electrical License covering National Electrical Code for residential, commercial and industrial installations recognized by DuPage County, or ability to obtain such license within 6 months of hire
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing; Class C Driver's License required within (6) months in good standing
  • Must pass a medical evaluation and fit test, per OSHA regulations, to ensure a respirator can be safely worn when required
  • OSHA 10-hour 1926 training and confined spaces training within (6) months of employment

Qualifications

Pay

\$33.37 to \$37.33 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, some evening and weekend work may be required.
