Electrician

About the role

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems and related electrical equipment. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and replace components of the electrical distribution system as required.
• Perform all necessary electrical safety inspections in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
• Install new wiring, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment as needed.
• Diagnose issues and complete repairs on facility electrical equipment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in a secure and safe manner.
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment and maintain proper working conditions.
• Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and ongoing maintenance.
• Follow all applicable safe working methods, practices, and procedures.
• Report any unsafe working conditions to management for corrective action.
• Complete all required documentation for work performed, inspections, or investigations.
• Provide emergency on-call services as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
