Responsibilities & Requirements
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Plan, lay out, and install equipment and cabling
- Use VOMs, Meggers, amp and phase-rotation meters, etc. for troubleshooting, testing, and circuit analysis
- Serve as a Lead Electrician, including guiding and training junior electricians with minimal supervision
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems down to the component level
- Knowledge of and ability to accomplish standard items 009-36 and 16’s on electrical/electronic equipment
- Willingness and ability to complete Connectorization School training when available
- Working knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items and EPISM (Electric Plant Installation Standard Methods)
