Electrician

Responsibilities

• Connect solar panels, inverters, and high-voltage equipment to power supplies.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain PV-related electrical wiring, breakers, and equipment.
• Install underground cabling and conduit runs efficiently.
• Inspect, evaluate, repair, and maintain solar systems and associated equipment (e.g., inverters, circuit breakers).
• Inspect existing electrical systems for code violations and safety compliance.
• Utilize blueprints and technical diagrams for project completion.
• Maintain and secure trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Report safety incidents and complete accident reports.
• Collaborate with other installers to ensure product quality.
• Identify hazards and practice safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers, addressing their questions and concerns.
• Represent the company through professional conduct and appearance.
• Ensure high quality assurance and control with a focus on safety.
• Meet with authorities to address questions professionally.
• Document completed work and materials used.

Requirements

• A Journeyman or Master Electrician License in the State of Michigan.
• General Construction knowledge.
• Two to three years’ experience with electrical systems; one to three years of solar installation experience preferred.
• A valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability/desire to obtain CDL certification, preferred.
• MIOSHA Certification, i.e., OSHA 30.
