Responsibilities
- Connect solar panels, inverters, and high-voltage equipment to power supplies.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain PV-related electrical wiring, breakers, and equipment.
- Install underground cabling and conduit runs efficiently.
- Inspect, evaluate, repair, and maintain solar systems and associated equipment (e.g., inverters, circuit breakers).
- Inspect existing electrical systems for code violations and safety compliance.
- Utilize blueprints and technical diagrams for project completion.
- Maintain and secure trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Report safety incidents and complete accident reports.
- Collaborate with other installers to ensure product quality.
- Identify hazards and practice safety standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Represent the company through professional conduct and appearance.
- Ensure high quality assurance and control with a focus on safety.
- Meet with authorities to address questions professionally.
- Document completed work and materials used.
Requirements
- A Journeyman or Master Electrician License in the State of Michigan.
- General Construction knowledge.
- Two to three years’ experience with electrical systems; one to three years of solar installation experience preferred.
- A valid State Driver’s License.
- Ability/desire to obtain CDL certification, preferred.
- MIOSHA Certification, i.e., OSHA 30.
