Electrician

Essential Functions/Typical Tasks

• Checks pump issues with electrical problems.
• Repairs lights, fixtures in City buildings and parks.
• Installs wiring for new construction and to existing city owned buildings, equipment, and sports facilities.
• Provides electrical maintenance to all existing city owned facilities.
• Performs inspections on new constructions to insure proper electrical regulations are adhered.
• Maintains records and files; prepares reports.
• Inventories and orders parts and materials as necessary.
• Performs related work as required.

Special Certifications And Licenses

• Must possess and maintain an appropriate, valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.

Education And Experience & Special Requirements

• Requires High School degree, or GED equivalent supplemented by electronic-related trade school electrical degree and six (6) years of experience as an electrician or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
