Electrician
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team on active construction projects in the Fort Worth, TX area. In this role, you will perform advanced electrical installations across power distribution, motor control, and automation systems, working from technical drawings to bring facility electrical infrastructure online. You'll collaborate closely with project engineers, construction managers, and fellow technicians, and will be expected to mentor junior technicians and help lead small crews on-site. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects hit production milestones while maintaining strict quality, safety, and code compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Install industrial equipment, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), switchgear (low and medium voltage), and Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
- Perform transformer installation and power and control wiring
- Install cable tray and conduit systems (EMT, RMC) 0
- Pull wire and manage cable routing and organization
- Complete equipment terminations, junction box, and panel installations
- Install grounding and bonding systems
- Support installation of PLC and automation systems
- Read and work from electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control drawings, equipment layout drawings, and cable schedules/termination drawings
- Maintain production throughput while upholding quality and safety standards
- Ensure all work complies with NEC/NFPA codes and standards
- Follow proper electrical safety procedures and maintain electrical hazard awareness
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Wear and maintain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Mentor junior technicians and lead small teams on job tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience with industrial equipment installation (VFDs, switchgear, MCCs, transformers)
- Experience with power and control wiring, cable tray, and conduit installation (EMT, RMC) 0
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line/three-line diagrams, and control drawings
- Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA code compliance
- Demonstrated electrical hazard awareness and safety procedure adherence
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Prior experience mentoring or leading junior technicians
Qualifications
- Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with PLC and automation system installation
- Background in data center or mission-critical facility construction
- Familiarity with grounding/bonding system design principles
