Responsibilities
- Install or repair any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
- Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
- Work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
- Use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
- Conduct electrical system studies and power quality diagnostics.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A degree or certificate from a Technical College or School is highly desirable.
- Must hold an Electrician License from the State of Hawaii or be capable of obtaining a license within six (6) months.
- Five (5) years of experience as a journeyman or electrician in the electrical maintenance field is required.
- Have experience in Class 1 & 2 electrical installations.
